Putting Videos on your PSP

The PSP is one of the most advanced pieces of technology of this day and age. It has numerous features for you to enjoy. So when you don't know how to take advantage of some of them your losing out right? Yet "How do I put videos on my PSP?" is still one of the biggest questions asked out there. If you don't know how to watch videos on your PSP then your missing out on one of the bigger features offered. With the PSP's large wide screen, watching videos on it is much more enjoyable than on an Ipod or a Zune. So if you are having problems getting videos on to your PSP than this will definitely help you out.

In a few simple steps I'm going to show you how to be watching videos on your PSP in no time!

First things first, your going to need a few things to get started.

1. You will need a memory stick. I suggest at least a 512mb, but depending on the size of your video, or if you want to put more than one, you should probably get a 1 or 2gb stick. These days the prices have gone down quite a bit so that shouldn't be a problem.

2. Another thing you will need is a Usb cable. Make sure one end is smaller than the other and it connects to the PSP, while the other connects to the computer. Most of you will probably have one of these lying around the house. (They come with a variety of machines, like printers, fax machines, even some calculators).

3. The final thing you will need is a program that converts your video files into .mp4 format. This is what the PSP needs for videos to work on it. You can get free programs all around the net, one of the best is PSPVideo9. Or you could just use a DVDRipper, or any program you feel comfortable with that you already have.

Alright now that we've got everything we can begin!

First just open up whatever software your going to use and convert all your video files that you want into .mp4 format. Just follow the instructions of whatever program you are using, shouldn't be very hard to follow.

Next connect your PSP to the computer via the usb cable. Make sure your PSP is turned off when you do this. Then turn on the PSP once the cable is connected and go to usb connect under settings in your PSP. Once you click that the computer will recognize your PSP as a removable drive. Now all you have to do is open that removable drive (it should be under My Computer)

Once you open the removable drive you will see a PSP folder as well as others, do not mess with any of these. All you have to do is create a new folder called MP_ROOT and inside that folder create another folder called 100MNV01. That's it now just copy all your video files that are in .mp4 format into that folder. Now you can just go under Videos in your PSP and voila your videos will be there for you to watch. Also some of you might already have these folders in place, in that case just copy your videos into them and enjoy.

I hope this information has been helpful.

Are you asking yourself "How do I put videos on my PSP?". Then this is for you, I will show you in a few simple steps how to put videos on your PSP.

Step 1:
Get a usb cable that connects to your PSP and your computer. One side will be small, and the other will be regular size. Then make sure you have a good memory stick, probably a 1gb or more would be best. Also you will need to get a program to convert your video files into .mp4 format, the format the PSP reads. You can get them free, just google it and pick the one you want, or just use a dvdripper. PSPVideo9 is a pretty good one to use.

Step 2:
Once you have all your materials connect your psp to your computer and make sure the psp is off. Once connected turn on the psp and go to usb connect under settings. The computer will recognize the psp as a removable drive, like a flash drive. Go to My Computer and open the removable drive. In here create a new folder called MP_ROOT, and inside this folder create another folder called 100MNV01

Step 3:
Copy all of your converted video files to that folder and you will be all set. Now just go under videos in your psp and your videos will be there ready to watch. Hope this helps, and Enjoy!!
